Darksiders, the critically acclaimed action-adventure which came out on the consoles at the start of the year, is heading to the PC.
And it will be on sale come September 24th, in a special “Hell Book” edition. THQ says that this will contains extras such as a comic book and art cards, along with a CD of the soundtrack. Nothing to get too excited about, but hey, it’s all free.
In Darksiders, you play the part of War, the horseman of the apocalypse, who has returned to Earth amidst a battle between the legions of heaven and hell.
There’s a light RPG element to the game – you can upgrade your weapons, learn new special killing moves and the like – but this one is largely about the combat, with some extreme gore included.
We’re talking ripping spines out and hurling them across the room, and similarly tasteful antics. The highly destructible environment you play in also gives the fight scenes an extra dash of chaotic spice.
Darksiders on the PC will retail at £34.99.
