The official Battlestar Galactica Online trailer has been released, ahead of tomorrow’s E3 games show in Los Angeles.
It shows off some snazzy combat sequences, before posing the question: “Human or cylon, man or machine, which side will you take?”
Apparently, there’s no option for small furry creature from Alpha Centurai, which we were hoping for.
Battlestar Galactica will be a massively multiplayer space exploration and combat game, and it will also be browser based, built on the Unity engine.
Full 3D graphics and a new standard for web games is promised, with “assets” from the TV show integrated into the gameplay for a more authentic experience.
Heiko Hubertz, CEO and Founder of publisher Bigpoint commented: “Battlestar Galactica Online will be an accessible, story-driven experience that will be executed to the highest level of quality for the browser based platform. It’s our most ambitious project ever and we want fans of the show to know that we are committed to delivering.”
