Whether you love or hate the new Doctor Who, prepare to polarise your thoughts even further one way or the other, if this latest rumour ever comes to fruition.
Apparently, one of the scriptwriters – Gareth Roberts – has said that he’d like to see Lady Gaga appear with the good Doctor.
He reportedly told OK Magazine that she’d be really suited to the show due to her wild and wacky fashion sense.
Indeed, the Beeb wouldn’t need to provide an alien costume for her, she could just go straight into the studio in her normal Friday night get-up, and appear convincingly to be from another planet.
By employing all the right guest stars, the BBC could sack off the whole Doctor Who wardrobe department. Tony Blair, for example, could walk in off the street and be a member of a lizard race.
Anyway, back to Lady Gaga. Apparently the writer has already got a storyline sketched out for the poker-faced pop star.
We shudder to think what that might be, but we can see her at the wheel of a futuristic vehicle involved in a pile-up on the intergalactic motorway.
Because let’s face it, wherever Gaga shows up on the goggle box, it’s always car crash television.
