Atari and Cryptic Studios have announced a new adventure pack will soon be out for Champions Online.
The superhero driven MMORPG witnesses players donning tight spandex outfits, capes, and utility belts, all in the name of crime fighting. And perhaps a little bit in the name of fetish dressing.
The upcoming content pack is entitled Serpent Lantern, and it features a whole new story arc involving a paramilitary force of bad guys known as Viper.
They’re out to recover the said snake themed lantern, an ancient artefact which would give them immense power, which they will naturally use to trash the world.
As the heroes, you and your party must travel to a number of new locations (including the African jungle), take on a range of missions and defeat the Viper bosses.
Unique rewards and costume pieces are promised for those who have the mettle to de-fang Viper and generally save the world.
All the quests and challenges will scale to group size and level, though you’ll need to be at least level 11 to take on the new content.
Serpent Lantern is expected to be released in June, and from what we can gather, it seems as though it will be a free addition to the game (but don’t quote us on that).
