Ascaron has announced that King Arthur The Role-Playing Wargame will be out in the UK come June 11th.
A hybrid of strategy and role-playing game, King Arthur puts the player in the platemail boots of the eponymous hero, who must conquer and unite the warring provinces of Britannia.
He won’t be forced to accomplish this task alone, however, as the great monarch will have the knights of the round table at his disposal. They can be dispatched on missions, and gradually levelled up in power, developing varied skill-sets.
Huge pitched battles are promised between armies, on a number of 3D battlefields each with different terrain and tactical considerations.
The single player campaign will be spread across five chapters, each consisting of around fifteen to twenty objectives.
Or you can go head-to-head against another monarch in the multiplayer, which can be enjoyed over a LAN or online.
The very literally named King Arthur The Role-Playing Wargame is being released on PC format, and will cost £29.99.
The game comes with a nice bonus shrubbery, providing you email the special codeword to the developer (“ni”).
