Blizzard has just announced that tickets for BlizzCon 2010 will go on sale come June 2nd.

The $150 tickets for the event in Anaheim (California) will actually be on sale in two batches, with the second batch up for grabs on June 5th.

BlizzCon is a celebration of all things Blizzard, including Warcraft, StarCraft and Diablo, scheduled for October 22nd and 23rd.

If you’re not up for doing a bit of volcanic ash dodging and flying over to the US for the convention, then there’s another option when it comes to partaking – pay-per-view over the web.

Providing you’re prepared to fork out $40 or so (exact pricing will vary by region), you can watch a multi-channel net stream of the event.

A number of channels covering different areas of BlizzCon will be available, which pay-per-viewers can switch between freely at will.

Those who stump up to watch over the web will also be rewarded with the BlizzCon exclusive World of Warcraft in-game bonus item. An orc thong (maybe).

If you don’t want to pay a penny, you’ll still be able to watch some limited coverage online, such as the opening ceremony and specific tournaments.

Along with big game tournaments, other activities planned include discussion panels, casual tourneys, and hands-on play with existing and upcoming Blizzard titles.

And of course, just generally getting together and drinking lots of beer later on. Hmm… BeerCraft…
