Have you been Bioshocked lately? It’s a bit like being Tango’ed, but much greener, and more likely to kill you.
At any rate, hardcore players of the shooter will doubtless be delighted to hear that 2K Games has rolled out a second instalment of DLC (downloadable content) for Bioshock 2.
The Rapture Metro Pack enhances the game’s multiplayer, adding six new maps which are drawn from areas in the single player campaign. It also introduces three new achievements, and a rank increase to level 50.
The pack will cost 800 MS Points on the Xbox 360, and £7.99 on the PlayStation Network. A tad on the expensive side for our liking, but hey.
Although in fairness, 2K Games has also released two further expansions for the multiplayer, one of which is free, a far more tempting price.
The free download consists of a new multiplayer mode called “Kill ‘em Kindly.” Which is basically a scrap to the death with all the players armed with nothing but golf clubs.
A slow bludgeoning with a big old driver doesn’t quite fit with our definition of a kind death, but we guess a multiplayer mode where everyone went to bed and hoped to pass away peacefully in their sleep wouldn’t be too popular.
The second expansion is a character pack, which costs £1.59 and adds two new characters, unsurprisingly.
These are Zigo the Fisherman and Blanche the Actress. They both sound like charming people, and most likely are. Unless they’re chasing you around foaming at the mouth while waving a three iron.
All this lot will be arriving on the Games for Windows platform at, we quote, a “later date”. Fore!
