In an unlikely movie mash-up, Leonardo da Vinci will be turned into an action hero in the upcoming Warner Bros flick: Leonardo Da Vinci and the Soldiers of Forever.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Marc Guggenheim (previously Executive Producer on FlashForward) is penning the script.
Da Vinci, as a member of a secret society, will leap, jump and roll through the underworld, chasing ancient secrets and facing biblical demons.
Apparently, lost civilizations and code cracking will also be involved – sound familiar at all? Well, it worked for Dan Brown.
Though the Da Vinci imagined here sounds more like Indiana Jones than Robert “dumb as bricks” Langdon.
Whatever next when it comes to the many mash-up concepts that the success of Pride & Prejudice & Zombies seems to have sparked off?
Vlad the Impaler, the rom-com? Poor teenage Vlad has no luck whenever he goes out with girls.
His small-talk skills are woeful, his looks unappealing, his hygiene dubious at best – and his habit of impaling his dates on spikes really doesn’t help!
