Game Bridger Entertainment (GBE) has announced that its free to play MMORPG, Priston Tale 2: The Second Enigma, will enter closed beta testing on Thursday.
Powered by the Unreal engine, Priston Tale 2 is the sequel to Priston Tale (believe it or not), one of the first online role-players to make an impression in the Korean market, and gain a worldwide player base, so claims GBE.
A fantasy MMORPG, the sequel is again set on the continent of Priston, which is under attack from the evil god Midranda.
The subtitle of the Second Enigma refers to the only thing in the world that can defeat this nefarious deity. Whatever that is, you’ll have to discover by playing the game.
Our guess is that it’s a giant out-of-tune accordion which when used to repeatedly play Frere Jacques causes the evil God to banish itself to some hellish lower plane of existence where life is less painful. But we may be wrong.
Priston Tale 2 features a combo-based battle system, competitive player versus player, new skill and item systems, along with an extensive framework for guilds. And giant accordions (maybe).
While no particularly original features are leaping out here, one big plus is that it’s free to play, so it’s going to cost you nothing to experience the world of Priston for yourself.
