Changes are happening in the world of Spider-Man, not only have the two main stars left the film franchise, Sony have also allowed the rights to the animated version of the story lapse.
With the rights back in Marvels hands it seems likely that the Ultimate Spider-Man animated series, which is based on the comic series by Brian Michael Bendis will be heading for the small screen.
According to reports from the MIPTV event in Cannes, France, the animated series will be produced by Marvel and premier on the Disney XD channel sometime during the autumn of 2011.
The story will of course follow Spider-Man as he goes about is crime fighting duties in brand new stories. The series will also feature other superheroes from the Marvel gang.
