The cable network AMC has ordered a six part drama based on the graphic novel series, The Walking Dead.
So far, it seems that Jonny Lee Miller (Eli Stone) could be taking on the lead role of Rick Grimes, while Jon Bernthal (Ghost Writer) has been confirmed for the important role of Shane.
The story follows the standard zombie flick line, a group of people travelling around trying to get somewhere, have to make their journey avoiding contact with the zombies that seem to have taken over the world.
There is little information on the back story, but as with most zombie films most of the population has been turned and they either need to be destroyed or left alone, one thing is for sure zombies are hot property at the moment.
