David Allen
Back in 1996, an alien invasion film has everyone talking, it was Independence Day and since the film took around $820 million making it the highest grossing film of the year, there has been talk of a sequel.
This has gone on for years until now, when according to IESB, Will Smith will be making a return as Steven Hille and although this is yet to be confirmed by any of the parties involved, it seems that production could be starting as early as 2011.
One other surprising turn of events is that there will not only be one sequel but two, and in true Hollywood style, these films will be made back to back. It not known how the production plans the release, but two Independence Day sequels sounds good.
