Finally, after much speculation and guess work, the actor that will be playing the title role of Captain America has been named.
According to the trade insider the Hollywood Reporter, it will be Chris Evans taking on the role of the ultra patriot Captain America when filming starts in the summer.
Chris Evans will be known to audiences following his high profile role as Johnny Storm otherwise known as the Human Torch in the superhero movie The Fantastic Four.
This is early news, as neither the actor’s agent or Marvel will deny or confirm that he will be taking on this major role.
Captain America was created during the second world war in a plan to encourage patriotism amongst the ordinary men and women on the average US street. He famously appeared on the cover of the first issue, punching Adolf Hitler in the face!
