Finally, the tense wait is over for fans of Fringe as the studio behind the series, Fox announces that it will be renewing the series for a third season.
Fringe has been a show that was initially helped with prime time slots on both Fox in the US and on Sky One in the UK, but it has still been flipped around with different time slots as the channels attempt to fit Fringe in where it has prime position.
However, competition from mainstream programming is affecting science fiction based shows to the extent that some like Fringe are being shown at 10pm instead of the prime position at 9pm.
The good news is that with Fringe being renewed, this has offered a glimmer of hope for some of the other struggling science fiction series.
