Fresh from making The Crazies, Breck Eisner has been talking about the next job, a remake of Flash Gordon!
The script written by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless is currently going through its second draft and within a few months will be with the studio, although Eisner admits this is a project that will take a long time to complete.
Although this is a remake, it is not going to follow any other films made before but more like the original cartoon strips from the 1930’s by Alex Raymond, but the story will have a modern edge, the only real comparison would be with the recent TV series.
This is a film that is going to be big budget and it seems that Sony will have dig deep into its corporate pockets to bring this out in one piece.
