The current record for a comic stands at a cool $1 million, but this record is set to be broken tomorrow at the Heritage Auctions in Dallas, Texas when the comic The Detective Comic No 27 published in 1939 goes on sale.
The price of this rare comic is being regarded as a record breaker because there are already bids being placed in excess of $400,000 this has boosted the popularity of the comic book and therefore is expected that major bidders would interested in placing bids for the comic.
This comic is being billed as one of the most important comics to come up for sale, the reason for this is that on the cover it features the first appearance of the caped crusader and the first mention of The Batman.
