David Allen
There was a time when Vin Diesel refused to take part in any remakes, and yet as Riddick the actor was tempted to return following Pitch Black to make the Chronicles of Riddick, but the later was mainly focussing on the world of Riddick and as such less of the man was featured.
Now it seems that Riddick is set to return and this time the story will be more like Pitch Black as it focuses on Riddick himself and from Vin Diesels point of view relaunch his career as a serious actor, unlike the roles he has played in some films that shall remain nameless.
The new Riddick story will be written and directed by David Twohy; he was responsible for the previous two films and should know what is required.
