It looks like there are talks going on between Transformers director Michael Bay and the special visual effects company Industrial Light and Magic over the possible deployment of 3D imagery for the next Transformers film.
The question is should the film be made in 3D or converted to some other format once it has been completed. The director feels that his style and demands would not suit the 3D equipment and therefore it would seem that talks are still ongoing.
There is a more pressing issue, following the huge amount of publicity that 3D has got because of Avatar. Is the format a fad and have broadcasters and electrical firms jumped on board the 3D bandwagon for the all of the wrong reasons?
