David Allen
If any classic science fiction film could benefit from being remade Frank Herbert’s Dune, is one of them, luckily a remake is in the pipeline and there is a cool level headed director taking the helm too, could this be the screen adaptation that we have been waiting for?
There is something about French directors and science fiction films, maybe it’s the artistic flair that does it or just the French lifestyle, but whatever it is Pierre Morel will be bringing this to the party.
The novel has a dedicated fan base and Morel is looking to stay in tune with them, this was a mistake that David Lynch learned with his attempt in 1984.
Staying close to the book is a hard thing to do, but it seems that this time we could be looking a better interpretation of Dune.
