It looks like the success of Sherlock Holmes is influencing the outcome of the other productions; it seems the forthcoming production of the DC Comic character Lobo may not be getting Guy Richie as the director.
It seems that the producer of both films, Joel Silver has confirmed that the studio wants Guy Richie on the next Sherlock Holmes instalment rather than working on the Lobo project which has now been put on hold until a further decision can be made.
Sherlock Holmes was an unexpected box office success for Warner Bros, who have fast tracked funding for the second film, this means that Guy Richie is going to be tied up for the time being.
As for Lobo unless a suitable director is found, it may be left on the shelf for some time.
