Anyone being involved in the production of Avatar would be pleased to see the film break the box office records around the world, but some well known celebrities are walking around with giant smiles on their faces, but why?
The reason for the celebrity celebrations is a company called Ingenious Media; this is an investment firm that specialises in the high risk film industry.
Celebrities are attracted to this firm because of the tax advantages in backing UK and US based films, in the past the firm has been involved with X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Hairspray and Die Hard 4.0, but Avatar was a different matter.
After raising around £50 million for the film, the returns have exceeded all expectations with each of the two thousand investors making around £60,000 in profits from the fund.
