Anyone that has been waiting to hear about the next project from Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson may have their wishes answered sooner rather than later.
It appears according to the Dominion Post, the next project in line for the Jackson treatment will be Mortal Engines which is one of four novels written by Philip Reeve.
Mortal Engines of as it is known in the US, The Hungry City Chronicles, is a tale of an alternate universe where everything is steampunked, we can think of The Golden Compass or Amber City sort of thing.
The story if indeed is does get the go ahead, seems to be well suited to Peter Jacksons talents and being just one of four books there are plenty of options for more films.
