David Allen
The director of Get Smart, Peter Segal is to move into science fiction with a hint of comedy on his next project, despite the sequel to Get Smart apparently already being in the pipeline and almost ready for development.
The new project will be Neighbourhood Watch, the story has been written by Jared Stern and the will be produced by Shawn Levy.
The story follows a man as he moves into an area, it’s a small town and so the character decides to do his bit by joining the local neighbourhood watch scheme.
It is only later that he discovers that the town has been experiencing paranormal activity and so the fun begins.
According to rumours, the title role was to be played by Will Ferrell; however it seems that the actor has pulled out.
