The problem with making films that have children in the lead roles is the fact that they get older and grow up. Therefore the series has a limited life; this was seen in the Harry Potter series and can be seen once more in the Chronicles of Narnia series.
Filming of the third film, Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, is in production and the kids are the same although a little older of course.
The basics follow the book, the kids visit a cousin and while there a painting springs to life transporting them to Narnia once more. But this Prince Caspian is King and aboard the great ship, Dawn Treader.
The film is not due for release until this time next year, so there is plenty of time to catch up with Narnia.
