When we say 2012 for the next Star Trek film, that is the earliest that a film will be ready, in fact as nothing has been put in place yet it would seem that the actual date is going to be much later than that.
The trouble with the sequel is so much will be expected from it and of course there is the question of who will be the baddie in Star Trek 2; according to comingsoon.net it is going to be Khan!
Can this be true? On the other hand, is it just a way stirring things up a bit in the hope that JJ & Co come out with what is really going to happen in the story?
Until the details are released, we are going to hear all sorts of wild and wonderful ideas, some of which may even turn out to be true!
