David Allen
Will Smith has clearly seen the light when it comes to science fiction, with some great films already behind him the actor is set to raise the roof with another science fiction story from the sixties, Flowers For Algemon.
The story comes from a sci-fi short novel by Daniel Keyes, which was written in those heady days of 1966, however the original storyline came about as short story in 1959!
It follows a young man with limited intelligence who takes part in an experiment that is supposed to dramatically increase IQ.
As expected, the experiment fails and the lead character is reduced to living the life of a lab rat whose existence is supplemented by flashbacks from his childhood. It is a warning to us all about science and the human race.
