David Allen
Before the release of District 9, there was a long viral campaign that really fuelled the appetite for more information, so when the first trailers were released they matched anticipation and more.
So what next for the innovative director Neill Blomkamp?
It seems more science fiction is in the pipeline from the director and that is something that will please fans of genre following the success of District 9. Apparently, the film will be a slight mix of genres and is likely to be set on another planet.
Blomkamp has a basic idea in development, but no title to give the storyline away, although District 9 did not give much away either.
With the finance already in place through Media Rights Capital, there is a budget of around $30 million, which is not large by films standards these days.
