It would seem that a third X Files film could be in the planning stages according to both David Duchovney and Gillian Anderson, this will please fans but the last film was not such a success, which could be funding issues.
Fortunately, the next film will go back to what made the X Files the show to watch, alien conspiracies. This is a subject that made the X Files the success it was and the film, which was considerably more successful than the second, did follow that theme too.
The film for obvious reason will be planned for 2012, which as we know is regarded by many to be the year when something happens on a global scale.
The prospect of the third X Files film would seem to more than just talk, but only time will tell on this one.
