The launch of a new science fiction series would normally be something to get excited about, but in the case of Defying Gravity, the situation is that this first series is in fact the last series; this is because it did not go down very well in the US.
In fact the series did not even make to the end of its run before being cut from the schedules, only in Canada was the series allowed to run its course.
Now it’s our turn and next week UK science fiction fans will be able to decide for themselves as to whether or not the US networks were right in cutting the series.
The thirteen part series should get its run right to the end as it is being shown on BBC2, which has a more flexible schedule.
