The French group Daft Punk will be making an appearance in the reboot of Tron, according to the actress Olivia Wilde.
It seems that not only will the band be making a cameo appearance in the film, the producer Disney Studios have bigger plans for the film and group at the next Comic Con event. It can only be assumed that the group will be performing at the event to promote the film.
It is quite apt to have Daft Punk involved in this project as any who as ever seen them perform live will know that they only ever appear in robotic costumes, this fits in nicely with the films theme of life inside a cyber world.
Tron is due for 2010 release and so it can only be assumed that the group will be appearing in July at the San Diego Convention Centre.
