Science fiction is no stranger to Stephenie Meyer, as she was the writer behind the teen vampire series Twilight. This was where a young girl is sent to a small town to live, but apparently, this is where vampires appear to hang out. Once again, the vampire theme has proved to be a success with the younger audience.
Moving away from vampires, the subject of alien body snatchers seemed like a good idea and this was going to be the basic storyline for The Host, a love triangle based story that is centred on a time not too far into the future when the earth has been overrun with these body snatcher aliens.
Andrew Niccol will be writing and directing the film that centres on a woman whose body has been taken over by an alien body snatcher and who begins to fall in love with the woman’s husband who has been missing since the invasion.
