Low budget short films are what made sci-fi in the first place, those black and white shows that used to be part of Saturday morning pictures, included the original Flash Gordon, this is classic film noir and sci-fi.
Following on in the tradition will be “Reign of Death” this is a short film that has been created and directed by Dr Who concept artist and as stars Noel Clarke who played Rose’s boyfriend Mickey in the series.
This short film is typical science fiction in the film noir style, it is set in world of steampunked machinery, everything that we use today has been modified or upgraded but still keeps its original shape and purpose.
The main character is a sort of detective in the thirties style and yet he has a side kick that turns out to be a robot known as Jimmy.
