The recent Star Trek film was a shot in the arm for science fiction, but there were many fans of the long running series that felt a little let down.
The main complaint being that the film was more gloss and less science fiction, this is something that is going to be turned around when the second film is made, much to the joy of those die hard Star Trek fans.
The second outing for the crew is going to be deeper, there is even word that there will be war with the Klingons, according to JJ Abrams the next film is going to be taken on a completely different mission.
This seems to follow the original film series with the second film being much better than the first.
