David Allen
Guy Richie is to make his mark in science fiction with the Warner Bros adaption of the comic character Lobo according to the industry magazine Variety.
Lobo is a seven foot tall giant alien, who just happens to be an intergalactic bounty hunter. The character was created in 1983 by Roger Slifer and Keith Giffen for DC Comics; you can imagine the adventures that occur as Lobo tracks down wanted aliens on Earth.
In the film version of the story, the bounty hunter has an unlikely partnership with a young girl; the story written by Don Payne will see the team hunt down four dangerous aliens.
This sci-fi action film, is to be produced by Akiva Goldsman, Andrew Rona and Joel Silver, it looks as if the film could go into production early in 2010.
