There have been a couple occasions this year when the rumour mill was churning out the idea that Fox were considering rebooting the Fantastic Four.
Well now, it would seem that the rumours were right and indeed Fox are definitely planning on rebooting the film instead of producing a sequel like some of the other rumours claimed.
This reboot is going to mean the cast being rebooted too, but according to Variety the producer of Heroes, Michael Green will be writing the script and Akiva Goldsman taking on the role as producer.
There are concerns that the imminent takeover of Marvel by Disney initially sent alarm bells ringing throughout the industry, but it turns out that the rights to certain characters such as the The X-Men, Fantastic Four, Daredevil and Silver Surfer are firmly in the pocket of Fox.
