It is amazing to think that it has been thirty years since the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy was first published and to celebrate this, fans will be getting into the action at the Hitchcon 2009 this event has been organised by the publisher of the Douglas Adams book Pan Macmillan.

The publisher is taking this seriously as will be reissuing the entire Adams backlist in the 1st September; this is forty two days before the anniversary date. Forty Two is a significant number for Adam readers, as they will know that it is the answer to life.

The Hitchcom event will be taking place at the Royal Festival Hall on the famous South Bank in London on the 11th October; fans of the original TV show will be pleased to see that the original Arthur Dent, Simon Jones will be there along with other cast members.
