Having just featured Christopher Nolan’s latest venture Inception, we head back to the Dark Knight or rather the sequel to the Dark Knight, it seems according to reports that the entire film will be shot in the IMAX format.
This is decision that will have a dramatic effect on the cost of the production before it even gets started. This is because the equipment will have to be built to order, these cameras will be able to capture a higher resolution of image and therefore produce a crisper image for the viewer.
According to the industry website Ain’t It Cool News, some parts of The Dark Knight was filmed using the IMAX format, this includes the opening bank robbery sequence. The sequel is due to go into production some time next year.
