The latest work by Iain Banks will be simultaneously released as an abridged podcast, allowing readers to read the work in twenty four easy to manage pieces.
Transition marks the 25th anniversary since the publication of Iain Bank’s first novel The Wasp Factory, it will be published on the 3rd September and this is the same date when the podcasts become available on iTunes.
The fifteen minute episodes will be released on iTunes each and every Thursday and Saturday for twelve weeks in the UK and US.
Plans for the paperback release are also in hand with the estimated date on publication being in the spring of 2010.
According to the publisher, Transition will be a crossover title appealing both science fiction and literary fiction readers.
