20th Century Fox are rumoured to be auditioning for a new cast for the popular sci-fi animation series Futurama, the show is very successful and yet to produce this sort of show it takes a long time and a lot of money.
It looks at as if Fox are looking to replace Billy West (“Fry”, “Hubert J. Farnsworth”, “Zoidberg”), Katey Sagal (“Leela”), John DiMaggio (“Bender”), Maurice LaMarche (“Kif Kroker”), and Tress MacNeille (“Mom”) this is because of the stars salary demands.
There were rumours that this was just a hoax, but this is a real threat to the show and to which direction it takes, do the characters stay the same but with new actors playing the role or will it simply be a completely new Futurama?
It is a risky move either way and the future of show depends on Fox getting it right.
