The producers of the hit series “Lost” have stated that they were shocked to hear that the fifth series has been nominated for an Emmy award.
According to TV Guide, both Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof were in agreement that they did not think that the time travelling fifth series would be good enough to attract the attention of the various people involved in nomination process.
The series will have stiff competition though, as it has been placed in the “Outstanding Drama” category, while Michael Emerson who does a great job as the series villain, Benjamin Linus, has been nominated for the “Outstanding Supporting Actor” award.
The 61st Emmy Awards will be announced on the 20th September, with the sixth and final series due to be aired next year; this is not the last chance for “Lost”.
