There is no doubt that the recent incarnation of the science fiction series “Battlestar Galactica” has been a great success, but many people fail to realise that when the original series came out in the late 1970’s and spin off returned in the 1980’s.
In fact, it seems that there is a demand to know more about the spin off series, as there are so many unanswered questions.
In Battlestar Galactica 1980, the fleet has found Earth, but it was 1980’s Earth and as we know, technology was limited.
Writer Marc Guggenheim and artist Cezar Razek will be working on new comic book series and will attempt to answer some of these questions and explain what happened next.
The comic is to be published by Dynamite, who have in fact had the rights for a number of years.
