Viral marketing has become a large part of creating an interest in new shows or films, but one of the most popular so far has to the “Observer” from the hit US series “Fringe” not only does he observe in the series, he also observes in the real world too.
This character makes the occasional appearance in some episodes, but you have to be fast to catch him as it can last only a split second.
This plan has worked so well that fans will scan each episode, in order to find the observer first and beat the other fans to announce their sightings.
The “Observer” is played by Michael Cerveris, and as in the show he makes the occasional appearance at sporting events, the latest being on the 14th July at the Busch Stadium in St. Louis, where he was catch watching the MLB All Star Baseball game.
