There has been talk of a “Smallville” spin off TV movie in the pipeline, it has even been given a title “Metropolis” and by all accounts, the producers at Warner Bros are going to make the announcement at the up and coming Comic Con in San Diego on the 23rd July.
However, the problem with rumours is just that, they are rumours. Nobody knows how or why they start; some people may say that it is the studios way of viral marketing, maybe there is another announcement.
Warner Bros are denying any such plans and have gone as far to say that it is just an internet rumour that could have been started by a fan.
The thing about rumours is that sometimes they turn out to be right and if the response to this rumour is anything to go on, maybe Warner Bros should consider the project after all.
