One of the most productive publishing, licensing and animation firms VIZ Media, have announced the first two science fiction and fantasy titles for its new imprint Haikasoru, which is dedicated to the translated Japanese science fiction and fantasy market.
The titles are, The Lord of the Sands of Time by Issui Ogawa, a time travel adventure that begins in ancient Japan and moves to the 26th Century, and All You Need is Kill by Hiroshi Sakurazaka, which has been called “science fiction for the adrenaline junkie.”
Both these books combine the popular genres of anime and manga, allowing these first two titles to enter a huge marketplace that is heavily populated with a lot of content already.
Haikasoru, is planning on publishing around twelve books per year and have plans to launch four books this summer, although it is not known if these first two books are part of that plan.
