As far as sequels go there is a lot expected from Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, in both content and box office takings.
In fact is seems that the film is not going let us down on either, having been released on Wednesday last week, within five days the takings have exceeded $200 million to put it in line with the likes of Spider Man 2 and even the brilliant Dark Knight.
Industry insiders have estimated that the first day’s takings for the film were $201.2 million, Spider Man 2 only brought in $152.4 million, however The Dark Night would have appeared to have just managed to keep on top with a handy $203.8 million.
Despite some not so keen reviews the film still appears to be moving forward and could well be on schedule to reach the $400 million mark for week two, which is good going by anyone’s standards.
