The idea of a slasher/horror about Judas is an intriguing idea, but it's not really my genre. I'm curious if anyone's read it and what they thought of it?

Also, is there much in the way of Biblical history/theology?

Hmmm... I'd be extremely wary of this one. As for "doing the unthinkable" in rooting for Judas... well, there has long been a school of thought that he has had a bad rap in that he was, if anything, the most faithful disciple of all because he actually fulfilled his role, without which the entire "sacrifice" of the crucifixion -- and therefore the entire point of the exercise -- would not have been possible. So it's hardly "unthinkable", however unorthodox.....

Indeed. There is also Peter Van Greenaway's novel Judas, in which his Gospel is found and he tells his own version of the betrayal of Jesus.
