Many years ago (late 60's or early 70's) I read a collection of short stories about each planet in our solar system. I have tried to find the title of the book for a long time but no luck. Any one recognize the description?

Preiss's The Planets is certainly the one which came to mind with me. Moreover, it is a series of essays on each of the worlds, followed by an original story written for the anthology; and contains some stunning artwork by people who made scientifically accurate (to the knowledge of the time) space art their forte....

The book I'm looking for is older than the one by Preiss, and I have the Arthur C. Clarke book so it's not either one of these.

Possibly Tomorrow’s Worlds edited by Silverberg (1979). Each story set on a planet in our solar system.

"All About the Planets" by Patricia Lauber. I got my copy in 1960.

I actually opened the book just now-- it's a more-or-less scientific explanation, and goes back and mentions the early theory of the spheres, and goes on to give whatever scientific information was available written at a kid's level.
