Issac Asimov's FBI files

Who wasn't?

It surprises all hell out of me that anyone, anywhere has any real respect for the FBI or actually, almost any branch of law enforcement when the epitome of downright insane corruption that was J. Edgar Hoover was a highly influential and sdmired figure within it. A cross dressing pervert who saw communists under every bed while staunchly maintaining that the Mafia was nonexistent, it is unknown to this day how many of our best artists in many fields he had secretly ruined if not outright assassinated while letting many truly psychopathic individuals go scot free. I try not to speak ill of the dead but in Hoover's case I can't help but say it. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

Joan... I really think you are being too soft on the b.... well, I'll not offend the censors by using the term, but you get the message......

Hoover reminds me of something Hitchens once said about the late Jerry Falwell... something which, however pungent and shocking it may be to hear it said outright, I tend to agree with. Again, I won't offend anyone's sensibilities, but for those who are curious, it involved how, if a certain procedure had been followed, the latter could have been buried in a matchbox.....
