Kelly &her brother travel to colored dimensions(red/blue/yellow)with a magical violin

I read a 3 book series (paperback) a few years ago and trying to find it again now without the name or author is very complicated , if anyone could help me out that would be great. there were 2 kids, kelly and her brother theyre parents got killed. they ended up with a magical violin that took them to a different colored dimension. in each dimension there was another set of their family (ex a red kelly/blue kelly/yellow kelly) they travelled through the dimensions trying to find their parents and battling bad guys along the way. using the violin to switch worlds when needed for safety.they visited each others dreamland but it seemed more of a nightmare land. they also ended up in a place called the rainbow mist (i think) and in the end when they were near or with their parents they had to play a giant violin to escape.
