Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone has giving Preston & Child's Agent Pendergast series a shot. It may seem like a detective novel on the surface, but there are a lot of science-fictional elements to it. It was what caused the Relic movie to come about, the book of course is much better. The series has everything from monsters to 150+ woman. Hackers, and machines that can convince a 7 year old to attempt suicide.

Think you might like it.

I read them up to maybe Dance of Death. I might have that title wrong. I was never totally taken by the Pendergast character. Some of the side characters were more interesting, though honestly, it's been a while and even they haven't stuck with me.

I actually enjoy their non-Pendergast books a bit more. Riptide and The ice Limit to name two. I've also read most of their individual works. They're fun and typically fast reads.

I guess they've made some money off me. Lol.

Too bad you didn't read 'Dance of Death.' Eli Glinn comes back in that one.

I didn't really care for The Ice Limit. Not one for water books, unless there's a lot of action. Maybe because I'm seasick.

Riptide was pretty good. Hated the guy who designed the vault. That was one case where life made the guy bitter.

If you like Corrie, try 'White Fire.' Yes Pendergast is in it, but he looks even more human.
